[REVIEW] Azura Skye – Buffy the Vampire Slayer
After school hours, Cassie Newton (Azura Skye) engages in conversation with Dawn (Michelle Trachtenberg) while they exit the premises. However, their interaction is interrupted when they’re approached by a group led by a potentially troublesome jock. Dawn’s conversation with the guy serves as a distraction, during which Cassie is abducted (though not shown on-screen).
Subsequently, in a high school library at night, the jocks, including the aforementioned individual, convene in a circle adorned with robes and candles. Their purpose is to conduct a ritual. Within this context, the ringleader seizes Cassie. She is bound with her hands secured behind her back using thick white rope. Additionally, her eyes are covered by a dense red cloth blindfold, and her mouth is firmly sealed with a strip of duct tape. Swiftly, the blindfold is removed, and she’s positioned at the center of the circle.
The group’s intention is to sacrifice Cassie to a demon, believing that this act will grant them wealth and power in return. Throughout this unsettling scene, Cassie conveys distress through muffled cries (mmpphhing) and visibly frightened expressions. The peril escalates as she faces the threat of a meat cleaver.
Eventually, a rescue ensues as Buffy intervenes, taking on the guise of a cult member within the circle to orchestrate Cassie’s rescue.
