[REVIEW] Camilla Rutherford – Picture Claire
Cynthia Lacey (Camilla Rutherford) finds herself facing the chilling threat of a gun-wielding antagonist who compels her to knock on the door of Lily Warden (Gina Gershon). The tension escalates as Lily opens the door, only to be confronted by the same perilous situation. As the story unfolds, Cynthia becomes captive, securely bound to a chair with a cable. Her hands are restrained to the armrests, constricting her torso as well. A leather strap, effectively muffling her voice (OTM), seals her lips.
In a subsequent turn of events, Claire Beaucage (Juliette Lewis), arrives at the door. The tables turn once again as both Lily and Claire find themselves facing the barrel of the antagonist’s gun. The situation takes a dire turn when the antagonist fires a shot at Lily, prompting Claire to retaliate by shooting the assailant. Amid the chaos, Claire regains her composure, dresses herself, and leaves Cynthia still ensnared in her chair-bound predicament.
Struggling valiantly against her restraints, Cynthia’s efforts prove fruitless as she remains trapped. Yet, her determination prevails as she manages to topple her chair, angling herself toward the phone lying on the floor. Despite the adversity, she ingeniously dials 911 using her chin. The scene concludes there.
