After having a drink in his (Dexter’s biological brother) boat, he puts Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) in a chokehold, knocking her out. She is then seen seated on the deck and duct taped to the lines. Her wrists are taped in front of her pinning them to her chest with more tapes around her torso, and her legs are taped at ankles and knees. All the while Debra is begging and crying for him to let her go, and freaking out looking at his murder tools. He then loads her into a dinghy while she lays there helplessly.

Later, he takes her to a garage where he plans to use Dexter’s style to kill her. During the trip she is locked in the trunk of his car, which he stops due to her loud mmpphhing. When he opens the trunk, we see that she has been gagged with a wide strip of duct tape, which is now loose. He simply re-applies a new strip on-screen.

When they arrive at the garage, her arms and wrists are still duct taped, as are her thighs, effectively hobbling her. She is also now blindfolded with a black scarf. When the killer releases her, she stumbles around trying to find a way to escape, mmpphhing frantically. He easily knocks her down and gives her an injection to knock her out.

When she comes to, she is stripped naked, saran wrapped to a table, and still gagged (now with two overlapping strips of duct tape). The killer has summoned Dexter to the garage in an attempt to get him to kill Debra, and they have a lengthy conversation while she lies there helplessly. Eventually, Dexter turns on his brother and the cops show up to end the action.
