Varalakshmi (Madhumitha) was riding in an auto rickshaw to somewhere when a van run hit it from the side. The bad guys grabs her and throw her into the van and drives off. In the next scene we see her struggling and mmphhing (her mouth taped) in the van while another female goon is driving her to somewhere, probably their hideout.

Near the end, we see her standing tiptoed on a stool with her hands tied behind her back with thick rope and her mouth gagged with duct tape. There a noose tied around her neck and connected to the door of the warehouse in which she was held.

The good guys finally found her but when breaking the door open, it triggered the noose mechanism and left her hanging from the noose. but in the nick of time they rescued her.
