[REVIEW] Anita Elsbree – CSI:NY

Feb 28, 2007 | TV Series: US/UK/Aus | 0 comments

The bad guy, a psycho magician (Criss Angel) has kidnapped his adoptive mom, Sylvia (Anita Elsbree). The scene begins with an extreme close-up of her being gagged with duct tape wrapped around her head; this is done tightly onscreen, three wraps over her mouth (plus a quick handgag for good measure), and with nice mmpphhing throughout the rest of the scene. In the very next shot, we see her sitting in a chair and wearing a straitjacket. After some (obviously) one-sided dialogue, he stands her up and puts chains all over her upper body and ankles.

In the next scene, he has her suspended upside down over a glass-lined box filled with water. Being the psycho that he is, he pretends that this onstage performance has an audience, despite it being an empty hall. Elsbree is lowered into the tank, with the chain being released so that she sinks to the bottom. Just in time, The CSI team shows up and rescues her. When her tape gag is pulled down, she spits out a mouthful of water.
