This scene begins with Bitsey Bloom (Kate Winslet) trying to test the theory of a murdered victim Constance Harraway (Laura Linney) ties herself up instead of being bound by someone else. She informed her partner to wait 3 minutes before taking any action. With that she proceeds to rip a sizeable grey piece of duct tape and smoothes it over her lips. Then she placed a plastic bag over her head and secures the ends of it with duct tape encircling her neck. Then she handcuffs her hands in the back. She then proceeds to lie down in the same position of the murdered victim.

After about a second, she begins to mmphhing erratically, struggling and trembling. The partner initially just watches, remembering her condition to wait 3 minutes. However at one point he can’t bear it anymore and go to her rescue. He rips the plastic bag and rips of the tape from her mouth.

The actual murder scene is seen from a video tape. Constance is seen at the kichen, wearing a robe, she did the exact thing Bitsey did earlier in the scene, ripping of a piece of tape to gag herself. Placing the plastic bag over her heand and securing it with duct tape. However, before she handcuffs her hands in the back, she disrobe, being completely naked. She then lie on the floor.

Several men walks to check on her lifeless body. We did see her struggling in her bonds for abit before she finally succumb to the suffocation.
