[REVIEW] Leelee Sobieski – Joy Ride
The truck killer managed to bait Venna (Leelee Sobieski) and the two guys into middle of nowhere, and asked them to get out of the car. But as soon as they started walking, he starts chasing them down with the truck into a cornfield. The three of them got separated, but the killer managed to snatch Venna. She was handgagged and dragged away into his truck.
She is held captive in a motel room, tied onscreen to a chair, arms behind, with rounds and rounds of saranwrap and gagged with saran Wrap that is wrapped around her head several times. Her feet are bound together as well into the chair. The killer rigged a shotgun to the door handle so that when anyone open it, the gun will go off right into her face.
Several close encounters ensues as her friends and the cops are looking for her. But at the very last minute, one of her friend manage to sneak into the motel room and gets her out of the way by pushing the chair down right before the cops kick down the door setting of the shotgun. She lays there helplessly still bound to the chair. She was freed by the cops off-screen.
