[REVIEW] Miranda Cosgrove – iCarly
Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) and Sam (Jennette McCurdy) have just finished a sketch, when Sam decides to “help” Carly get a date. She casually sits Carly on a chair, then secures her wrists to the armrests with some kind of yellow plastic clamps. A bemused Carly begins to squirm around when she realizes what is going on, upon which Sam gets out a roll of duct tape and dramatically announces, “And now: duct tape!” She then rips off a strip from the roll and gags Carly onscreen. Lots of mmpphhing, screaming and struggling as she is “presented” to the male viewers of the iCarly universe. After about a minute the scene ends on a close-up of Carly’s gagged face, with no release shown. For fans of DiD-related dialogue, Carly (now freed and chasing after her friend) retorts to Sam with mild anger in the very next sequence, “You duct taped my mouth shut!”
